Read the base recipe first
An add-in is an extra ingredient mixed into the drink. Check whether your smoothie already includes the ingredient you are considering. Menus may offer protein powders, nut butters, seeds or other boosts, but availability and portions differ by shop and by drink.
Pick an ingredient for a clear reason
Decide whether you want a particular flavour, a thicker texture or a specified ingredient. Nut butter can change both taste and consistency; a powder may alter the finished texture. Ask staff what the addition does in that recipe rather than choosing from a long list of marketing names.
Check the product and the portion
Ask which product is used, how much is added and whether the shop publishes its ingredients. An add-in name does not establish a particular nutritional result. When ingredients matter, check the base drink and extras together and discuss preparation with the shop.
Compare the complete order
Confirm the final cup size, extra charge and any substitution before payment. Start with one addition so you can judge its effect. Keep the name and size of an order you like; “the same boost” may refer to a different product at another location.
